Kaycee Feild

Bareback • Inducted 2024

The son of five-time World Champion Lewis Feild did not have to become a World Champion Bareback Rider; he could have been a champion skier, wrestler, or basketball player. But it was the adrenaline of bareback riding that outshone the other sports and drew Kaycee Feild to be one of the best in the business. Feild entered the professional ranks in 2007 and a year later competed at both the College National Finals Rodeo and the National Finals Rodeo. He continued to compete at the top of the ranks and won his first World Championship in 2011. Feild also secured the National Finals Average title that year. Thus began his reign as top bareback rider. Feild would repeat his World Championship and Average Championship duos a further three times, a feat currently unbroken. After slowing down a bit, Feild came back in 2018 to finish 7th in the world and surpass the $2 million mark in earnings. In 2020, Field earned his fifth world title, tying Joe  Alexander and Bruce Ford for the number of World Championship Bareback titles. He would surpass their mark by winning his sixth Bareback World Championship in 2021. Feild also accumulated four National Circuit Finals Bareback titles (2009, 2011-2012, 2014) and five Wilderness Circuit Bareback titles (2009, 2011-2012, 2014-2015). Feild became part of the Wrangler National Patriot Program in 2010. This program sent rodeo athletes on a USO-type tour to troops around the country and in the Middle East. Feild spent five years with the program, visiting troops each Memorial Day weekend.
